DIMAPUR: Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team under the aegis of District Health Society, Wokha, conducted screening and awareness activities at nine Anganwadi centers and 16 government schools under Wozhuro and Chukitong Block last month.
A press release by RBSK stated that the medical team led by medical officer RBSK Wokha, Dr. Lirenthung Khuvung, screened 380 children and those with ailments were treated and provided free medicines.
During screening and awareness activities, medical team found cases of cleft palate, dental condition, and hearing impairment which were later referred to District Hospital for further treatment.
The team provided first aid in all schools and held health talks on maintaining healthy lifestyle, intake of nutritious food, personal hygiene and oral health.
