Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS) organised celebration of Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas and district level farmers and SHG mela with Atou Kapfo PS to minister Planning & Coordination, Land revenue, Parliamentary Affairs as special guest at Sports Complex, Pfutsero town on October 15.
According to DIPR report, speaking at the celebration, SDO Civil Pfutsero, Diana Patton said that the participation of the farmers at the celebration reflects the hard work put in by the farmer community in Phek district. She said that the development can take many forms, whereby she said that they must understand market demand and supply and analyze to fulfill demands in the market. She said that the goal should be to make Nagaland a producing state which will depend on the farmers. Altogether 31 villages and 98 SHGs participated in the celebration. Invocation was said by Rev. Dr. Dingu Kenye, president CBCC, welcome address by Vechulo-u Kanuo, executive director, CWWS.
