River Belt Colony Council Dimapur (RBCCD) has asked the Electricity Department, Division 1 Dimapur to refrain from implementing the “application of a prepaid metre box” within the colony.
In a press release, RBCCD chairperson, Mepu Imchen and secretary, Joseph Nenio Mao said the decision was taken by the council and general public after “wide discussion” that installation of prepaid meter box within the colony shall not be carried out in domestic connection.
It decided to stand with the memorandum submitted by Dimapur Sadar GB Union (DSGBU) and Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF).
RBCCD has asked the concerned authority to refrain from implementing the application of prepaid metre box until and unless the memorandum submitted by DSGBU and DUCCF was finalised.
