District Health Society (DHS), Wokha conducted two sterilization camps on March 28 and 29 at Tontongo and Liphayan, Ralan block under Wokha district.
A press release from media officer NHM, CMO office Wokha, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that the medical team was led by CMO Wokha, Dr. Robin Lotha, deputy CMO Wokha, Dr. Zuben with Dr. Nounenuo (Obs. & Gynae), MO District Hospital, Dr. Loyingbeni, MO MMU nurses, Dr. Liphamo, lab-technicians, and attendants. They performed a total of five lap-ligations (tubectomy), and eight CU-T insertions during the camps.
The camp made available services for ANC, malaria blood test, Hb, blood sugar test, and sputum test, besides offering free medication.
The medical team conveyed their gratitude to residents of Tontongo, Liphayan, Ralan villages, especially the staffs of Tontongo, Liphayan, and Ralan SC.
A BRIDGE training on routine immunization was also conducted for Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and AWWs of Ralan block.
Altogether 215 patients availed services at the RCH camp.
