Re-implement 40% quota: ANUDEA appeals govt

All Nagaland Unemployed Diploma Engineers Association of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering (ANUDEA-CEMA) has appealed to the state government for re-implementation of 40% reservation for diploma holders in NPSC combined technical examination for the post of junior engineer out of total vacancies.
In a press release, ANUDEA-CEMA president Sentilo Magh and general secretary Aboka Awomi pointed out that the reservation ratio for diploma holders, which was included in the Engineering Service Rule 1997, was followed till the year 2013 despite of the absence of reservation with the framing of Engineering Service rule 2006 and 2012, adding that only in the year 2014 and 2015 the reservation was removed.
Stating that it had issued press release and also submitted applications to the chief secretary, commissioner & secretary, engineer-in-chief and chief engineers of concern departments over the issue, the association, however, said there has been no response till date.
The association has, therefore, appealed to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) and also to the responsible authorities of the Engineering Service Rule to follow the 40% reservation for diploma holders in particular.
