A three-day re-orientation training of Health Care Workers on IHIP (Integrated Health Information Plateform) for Tuensang and Noklak districts was held from October 28- 30.
The resource persons of the training were, State Program Officer SSU IDSP, DH&FW, Dr.Nyanthan Kikon; Senior Program Officer NISHTHA JHPIEGO, Roselyn Lasuh; Surveillance Coordinator NISHTHA JHPIEGO, Angelina Jungti and Training Consultant SSU IDSP, Asang.
The training was supported by the staff of DSU IDSP Tuensang.
On day one, Dr.Kikon shared in detail about IHIP and its importance while encouraging health care workers to cope with the transition of paper based reporting system to digitalisation.
He said that IHIP was a real time data reporting or near real time data information in places with poor internet connectivity which enables the Surveillance Unit to detect unusual events/ early warning signals/ impending outbreak of diseases on time and response in time.
The topic on “Event Alert and Out Break Investigation” was delivered by Lasuh while “P&L form Reporting” for Medical Officers & Laboratory Technicians and “S-Form Reporting” was taken up by Angelina.
The trainees were imparted with hands-on training on the usage of IHIP apps and portals. A total number of 42 healthcare workers under the establishment of CMO office, Tuensang were trained in three batches.
