Re-strengthening health services

 Meetings in Wokha deliberate improving health care service delivery

“Re-strengthening” meetings of Medical officers, nurses and DPMU staff were held on January 18, 19 and 24, at the Chief Medical Officer’s (CMOs) conference hall in Wokha.
District Media Officer, Mhonbeni Ezung, in a press release reported that CMO, Dr. Robin Lotha and deputy CMO, Dr. Zuben Kikon called the meeting to re- strengthen/improve Health Care Service Delivery. The staff were strictly told to maintain regular attendance at their respective posting places.
They were also directed to submit monthly reports regularly on the 3rd of every month at the NHM section of the CMO’s office. Reminding the staff to make the Village Health & Nutrition Day activities more effective from this year, the CMO encouraged them to participate in the activity and send proper documentation with pictures to the CMO’s office without fail.
Dr. Zuben, spoke on flagship program activities like the “Beti Bacchao, Beti Padhao” “Gram Sabha Panchayat”, “Malaria Elimination by 2030”, AYUSHMAN BHARAT-“National Health Protection Mission/Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna” campaigns. He asked for related information to be disseminated among the public. 
Dr. Zuben also urged the staff to be involved in the Gram Sabha representing the department at the village level and submit the Health Centre list of requirements on priority basis for inclusion in the Gram Sabha panchayat activities.
Dr. Khelito, DPO (RCH/UIP), also spoke of the upcoming Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization campaign, to begin from the month of February 2019. She requested the Medical officers to submit the micro-plans for their respective jurisdictions. Dr. Zathung, DVBO, Dr. Benchilo, DTO, Dr. Mhonchan, ZLO and district facilitator, (Nagaland Health Project), also highlighted program activities achievements, and targets at the meeting.
