Home Department has invited recommendations for the award of Governor’s Gold Medals and Commendation Certificates on the occasion of Republic Day, 2024.
A report by DIPR informed that recommendations should be submitted latest by December 8 by following the outlined guidelines. The guidelines were as follows: detailed information about the recommended candidates should be provided following the format given in Annexure-A and should be precise and not exceed one page (A4 size).
Recommendations and citations for Gazetted Officers should be submitted through the concerned Head of Department where Administrative Head of the Department will be required to sign and forward the recommendations/citations to the Special Secretary, Home Department.
Head of Department for non-gazetted staff shall be signed and forwarded the recommendations/citations directly to the Special Secretary, Home Department. For personnel in Police, Home Guards, Prisons, and Fire Services recommendation should be submitted through their respective Director Generals/Heads of the Department.
Both hard and soft copies of the recommendations/citations, duly signed by the recommending authority, should be forwarded along with the Annexure.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioners have been entrusted the responsible for submitting recommendations for NGOs, individuals, and employees under their establishment and the recommendation should be signed by Commissioner, Nagaland, and forward to the Special Secretary, Home Department.
