Advisor School Education KT Sukhalu Friday said that the state government was trying to trim unnecessary posts in Nagaland, which has over 1,20,000 government employees.
Advisor also said that many redundant posts that still exist in the state would be done away with so government job capacity would become lesser. He said this during a felicitation programme organized by NDPP 9 Kohima Town assembly constituency and advisor urban and municipal affairs Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire at his residence here Friday.
Sukhalu said that whoever wanted to be a part of the government should not lose focus as the level of competition would be tough. On the occasion, advisor acknowledged the educational institutions for nurturing the students and the parents for their constant support to their children.
He also thanked the Dr. Nicky Kire and NDPP 9 Kohima Town assembly constituency for organising the event.
Reminding that today’s world was full of competition, the advisor, however, said that if students remained focused on their priority, nothing could stop them, adding “your destiny is in your hands”.
Sukhalu also urged the parents not to discourage the children when they disappoint them.
Department of school education special secretary, Kevileno Angami, in her brief address, also thanked Dr. Kire and NDPP 9 Kohima A/C functionaries for organising the event, which she said was an encouragement.
She also appealed to the students to remain focused, be consistent in their studies, set priority and time management and to have discipline to achieve their dream.
Dr. Nicky Kire, in his address, said the felicitation programme was organised not in political line but solely to encourage and felicitate the toppers from Kohima town for bringing laurel to the district.
Dr. Kire urged the toppers to dream big and fulfil the dream and to keep up the same zeal.
He advised them not to remain complacent over their achievement, but be wise in whatever they choose to be in life so they do not regret later in life.
