Reform Utsav to be launched in Chümoukedima

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima has announced the launch of Reform Utsav, a nationwide citizen driven initiative aimed at encouraging active public participation in the reform process and inviting suggestions to improve public services and essential infrastructure.
According to a circular issued by the Deputy Commissioner, citizens have been urged to submit suggestions, feedback and practical recommendations, particularly in key areas such as healthcare, water and sanitation, power supply, education, roads and telecom connectivity.
The initiative also calls on citizens to highlight existing challenges and propose constructive solutions to strengthen governance and service delivery. All government departments, offices, local bodies and stakeholders in Chümoukedima have been directed to create awareness and encourage maximum public participation.
Reform Utsav will commence on October 2, 2026 and continue until the end of December 2026. Deputy Commissioner Polan John, has appealed for active citizen involvement, stating that valuable suggestions can help make Reform Utsav 2026 a meaningful platform for improving governance and public services.
