Refreshers training on IHIP-IDSP in Zbto

Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) unit Zunheboto conducted a two-day “Refresher Training on IHIP-IDSP” on August 29 and 30 at Sumi Kukami Hoho Hall, Zunheboto.


In a press release, District Media Officer, Keneikhrietuo informed that resource persons for the training were Dr. Esther Kath DVBO/DSO, Dr.C.Zhekheli Chishi District Epidemiologist and Kekhriele-u Angami Program Officer- Surveillance NISHTHA/Jhpeigo.


Delivering key note address, Dy.CMO Zunheboto, Dr.K.Akaho Sema, stressed on the importance of diseases and syndromes that fall under IHIP and the major role of IDSP unit in the district.
Dr. Esther Kath gave a PPT presentation on district performance in which she encouraged the participants to ensure improvement on IHIP portal and focus on quality and timely reporting, daily surveillance, analysis of accurate datas and events alert.


The resource persons also highlighted on the objectives of the training which was to re-orient the health workers to maintain consistency in reporting, ensuring quality reporting and scale up the performance of their particular Health Units.


During the training, the participants were reviewed on different reporting platform done on S,P & L form under IHIP-IDSP Portal to avoid making any error in different levels of Health facilities during entry of reports, incomplete data entry, duplication of same patient details etc. Altogether 70 participants attended the refresher training including CHOs,GNMs,ANMs, Lab-Techs, LDAs from DH,CHCs,PHCs, HWC-SC,SC.
