To pay tribute to late Rajiv Gandhi who had a vision in taking the country into the 21st century trough the application of modern science and technology, the nation celebrated his birth anniversary.
Zubenthung Ngullie, I/A DRPO in a release said at Wokha the programme had been organized under the under the initiation of district administration. To mark the day various events were held at GHSS campus. Highlights of the programme were maraton race, essay writing and painting competition. Altogether 14 schools and colleges participated in the events. The topics for essay and painting competition were “potential of renewable energy” and “renewable energy”. In the morning session, “the run for peace” was flagged off by Imlisunep Ao, Superintendent of Police, Wokha as the chief guest. The main programme was held at GHSS building where Amos Lotha, principal GHSS, Wokha who chaired the programme encouraged the participants to have the spirit of competition. He further reminds them to have the same spirit and prepare to compete with others in the coming year, followed by distribution of prizes and certificates to the participants by Athel O. Lotha ADC, Wokha.
