A one-day state level workshop on ‘Introduction to Research Methodology’ was organized by the Research Committee of Pfutsero Government College (PGC), on March 30 at the College Seminar Hall with assistant professor, department of Sociology, Dr. Athungo Ovung and NU department of Economics assistant professor, Dr Giribabu M, as resource persons.
Dr. Giribabu M spoke on “Research; Basic tenets of Qualitative and Quantitative Research” and “Data processing and analysis” and Dr. Athungo Ovung spoke on “Techniques of Data Collection” and “Report Writing”.
A press release by the PGC Mass Media Committee convenor stated that a welcome address for the inaugural session was delivered by principal, PGC, Dr. Moanochet Longchar, who encouraged participants and aspiring researchers to take the work shop as an opportunity to learn more.
Research Committee coordinator, Sutoli Sema, gave the introduction and also felicitated the resource persons. A vote of thanks was pronounced by Research Committee member, Wetso-u Medo.
The Seminar had two technical sessions and an interaction session at the end.
All together 50 participants registered for and attended the workshop from — Baptist College, Kohima; Phek Government College; Baptist Theological College, Pfutsero; St. John College Dimapur; and Pfutsero Government College.
