Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has demanded immediate resumption of construction work on the incomplete Doyang bridge.
Interacting with media persons here Saturday, the committee urged the responsible contractor of unfinished bridge to resume works as assured.
NFHRCC stated that the contractor, during the meeting on September 21, agreed to resume the construction work.
On the same day, NFHRCC said the members also met chief minister, R&B minister, planning minister and top government officials. At that meeting, the chief minister also summoned the responsible contractor, where the latter assured to resume the work.
Meanwhile, NFHRCC has appealed to all the responsible individuals, associations and hohos to consult the committee in the event of any clarification.
It also disclosed that the chief minister in August assured the committee to sanction fund for the 8km of uncut portion of Trans-Express Highway (Foothill Road) – 5 km in Niuland sector and 3 km in Naginimora sector.
In this regard, NFHRCC has appealed to the chief minister and R&B minister to issue work order for the same as assured.
The committee further appealed to all the members of the public not to ply heavy vehicles on the unfinished road.
