Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship celebrated the resurrection of Jesus at the Resurrection Sunday Sunrise Service attended by hundreds of church members from various dominations, at The Heritage, Kohima on Sunday.
President of Kohima Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship Rev Vezopa Rhakho delivered the message on the topic “His Resurrection: Our Victory”, where he emphasized that resurrection was the cornerstone of the New Testament and highlighted its significance by quoting from Matthew 28: 18-20.
Rev. Rhakho explained that through Christ’s death and resurrection, the plans of Satan had been defeated and also restored back all to all authority . He proclaimed, “We can now live in victory.”
He said through Resurrection, one who believed in Christ can experience the power of resurrection to change his or her life.
Rengma Baptist Church associate pastor (women) Senenle Apon read from the Old Testament, while Rongmei Baptist Church pastor Jenthailung Kamei read from the New Testament.
Choir songs was presented by the KABA youth and Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church Kohima, while state chaplain Rev JW Yamyap Konyak pronounced the resurrection greetings. Lotha Baptist Church pastor Rev Benry Lotha pronounced the benediction and Sangtam Baptist Church pastor Thsadongse Sangtam led the service.
