Rev. Franklin Graham to visit Nagaland for Spl. Reception programme on Nov 30

DIMAPUR, OCT 31 (NPN)

In what is being described as a historic spiritual event, the Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF), in collaboration with the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF), has announced that Rev. Franklin Graham will attend a special reception programme at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, on November 30, 2025.
Rev. Graham, who serves as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, will be the guest of honour at the programme, which the organisers said holds deep significance for Nagaland’s Christian community.
The visit comes more than five decades after his father, the late Rev. Dr. Billy Graham, first visited Nagaland in 1972- an occasion that left an enduring spiritual impact across the state and inspired generations of believers.
According to KBPF president Rev. Dr. Ruokuovilie Sachü and secretary Dr. S.N. Among Jamir, the forthcoming event will be a united gathering for thanksgiving, prayer, and spiritual renewal, celebrating the enduring Christian faith and values that form the foundation of Naga society.
Rev. Graham’s visit, it stated, comes as “a powerful call for unity and moral reflection” during a time when it is most needed. KBPF expressed hope that the event would strengthen fellowship among denominations, promote peace, and reaffirm Nagaland’s identity as a land of strong faith and resilience.
The Fellowship also invited believers from across the state to join in prayer for the success of the event and to participate in the reception programme at the IG Stadium. “This gathering is a unique opportunity to stand together in a united expression of gratitude to God,” the statement said. Further details on the programme schedule and logistics will be announced later.
