Regular Graduate Teachers Forum (RGTF) Dimapur has appealed to the Department of School Education (DoSE) to rectify the alleged anomalies detected in the present tentative seniority list of graduate teachers (GT).
In a press release, RGTF Dimapur convenor Neizevotuo Nakhro also urged the department to apply same yardstick while doing arrangement of teachers’ seniority so as to show equal treatment among same cadre (GT).
RGTF Dimapur stated that the forum had submitted representation on June 7, 2021 for rectification of anomalies in the tentative seniority list in support of ANSTA representation dated May 31, 2021 and RGTF Nagaland representation Dated May 24, 2021.\
Alleging that there were various anomalies while preparing the present seniority of the GTs, the forum said some were based on court judgement, some were taken from the date of appointment while others derived from the date of cabinet sitting. “This gives a clear picture of using three different yardsticks while determining the seniority of graduate teachers,” the forum said, adding that it portrayed “a blur picture”.
The forum said that implementing the same would create an abnormal hierarchy.
RGTF Dimapur, on behalf of RGTFN, has, therefore, appealed to the department to forward the long-awaited review meeting minutes of Nagaland School Education Service Rules 2017, which was held on June 20, 2020, for cabinet approval at the earliest in order to solve all seniority clashes of its cadres.
