RH dismayed over removal of director Higher Education

Rengma Hoho (RH) has expressed deep pain and anguish over the recent order from the department of higher education “unceremoniously” removing Dr. A. Nshoga Rengma, a bona fide member of Rengam community, from his position as director of higher education department and placed as the OSD higher education department.

In a statement, RH president Er. Tesinlo Semy and general secretary Shatilo Kent the hoho concerned over the move had met with the minister higher education, Temjen Imna Along, at his official residence on August 31, 2024.

During the meeting, RH said the minister assured the hoho and its affiliated organisations that Dr. A. Nshoga Rengma would be reinstated to his former position.

Therefore, RH has appealed to the minister to reinstate Dr. A. Nshoga Rengma “to the rightful previous position” within 60 days. RH said that failure to do so would compel the hoho to take “necessary steps to express our discontentment.”
