Nagaland’s Seyiekhrietuo Thomas Sachü continued his pan-India solo motorcycle expedition, “Ride for Disability,” reaching Siliguri, West Bengal on Sunday—the sixth day of his six-month awareness tour.
Flagged off from Dapfhütsumia Ground, Kohima on July 1, the ride aims to promote inclusivity and fight discrimination against persons with disabilities. The journey will cover all Indian states and Union Territories and conclude on January 10, 2026, during the KVSA Meet organised by KVYO.
Sachü lives with Post-Polio Residual Paralysis (PPRP), a long-term condition affecting movement. Despite physical limitations, he has earlier completed solo rides across South India and the Northeast. His current tour is seen as a growing movement for awareness, accessibility, and equal rights.
Speaking to media, Sachü said, “Every kilometre I ride is a message of hope—for those living with disabilities and others who face social barriers.”
Since beginning the ride, Sachü has passed through towns in Nagaland and Assam. At every stop, he has been welcomed by local riders, disability advocates, and citizens who supported his message of inclusion.
On his arrival in Siliguri, members of Rebellion Riders MC and local dignitaries greeted Sachü and appreciated his mission. His daily experiences are shared through video and social media updates, helping spread the campaign’s message to wider audiences.
The tour may feature ceremonial events in select cities, in coordination with local organisations focused on disability rights. Sachü’s journey is not just about travel—it reflects a commitment to change mindsets and remove barriers.
