Union minister of state for Home, Kiren Rijiju, has accepted the state government’s invitation to attend the special cabinet meeting scheduled to be held in Kiphire aspiration district on November 9, 2018.
Rijiju, who took to twitter to confirm his attendance, said “This is a commendable gesture of the seasoned & visionary CM of Nagaland @Neiphiu_Rio ji. Holding the Cabinet meeting in a remote Kiphire (Aspirational District) reflects Govt’s intention. I’ve accepted the invitation and looking forward to attend the State Cabinet Meeting.” State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, also took to twitter to thank the union minister for agreeing to come to one of the most far-flung areas of Nagaland for the occasion.
Rio stated that the upgraded district hospital Kiphire would be inaugurated by Union minister of state Kiren Rijiju. He said people of Kiphire would have access to better healthcare with upgraded facilities and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, DC Mohammed Ali Shihab wrote on twitter that preparation for cabinet meeting to be held at 14th NAP (IR) Camp, Kiphire, has been completed. DC stated that preparation for inaugural function at district hospital Kiphire was in process. He also said that preparation for inauguration of Women Police Station, Kiphire was going on in full swing.
It may be recalled that the PDA coalition partners had resolved to hold a full-fledged cabinet meeting in Kiphire, as part of its endeavour to take governance and administration to all corners in a manner that was inclusive and where all citizens and stakeholders participated in the development aspirations of the people.
