Rio inaugurates 3 govt buildings

State chief minister Neiphiu Rio on Monday inaugurated three government buildings under Chiephobozou sub division in the presence of the respective department advisors.
The chief minister along with his team of advisors inaugurated GHS Nerhema Model new building, Sub-Division Horticulture office and Fire and Emergency Service Station.
Addressing a public reception programme at the Northern Angami Mechüki Chiephobozou, Rio said GHS Nerhema Model being in the centre of Northern Angami said that the new school building would be upgraded in the coming days based on its performances and maintenance. He reminded the parents that allowing students to study was an investment as knowledge was the beginning of all development and progress in life.
Rio, who also spoke on the role of teachers in moulding the students maintained that government teachers were highly qualified but have poor enrolment. He therefore said that it was the responsibility of the teachers to motivate and teach the students so that they can move forward. On the Horticulture office, Rio encouraged the farmers to take the help of technology and become a progressive farmer by avoiding use of fertilizers. On Fire and Emergency Services, Rio said the department was trying to improve all the working systems and therefore urged the citizens to obtain training and help each other during disasters. He expressed the hope that the inauguration of the F&ES office will benefit the citizens.
Advisor of School Education and SCERT, KT Sukhalu in his address said the Northern Angami II was fortunate to have a leader to lead the Nagas and urged the gathering to continue to extend support to the present leader.
Congratulating the School Education department for coming up with the new building Sukhalu said all efforts have been made to reform the education department.
The advisor also informed that under World Bank all schools have been provided grants and it was the responsibility of the schools to utilise the grants judiciously to improvise the school infrastructure.
Advisor of Horticulture and Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan in his address said it was a momentous occasion for the citizens of Chiephobozou and added advantages of being near the state capital. He therefore urged them to make good use of the newly inaugurated office.
Advisor F&ES, SIRD, Relief and Rehabilitation Pohwang Konyak in his address said with the inauguration of F&ES station in Chiephobozou, the state has now 20 fire stations out of the required 48 stations.
