Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday inaugurated the bailey bridge over Zingki river, Tutheze village and also unveiled the foundation stone from Tikhir Tribal Council cum office at Kuisam town.
Taking to twitter, Rio said with the inauguration of the bridge, the distance between Pungro sub-division and Kiphire district headquarter will be reduced by 45 kms and will benefit about 35,000 people living in Pungro and Kiusam areas and also villages like Mimi, Thanamir Kongka etc. along the Indo-Mynmar border
“I am confident the Bailey Bridge will be a catalyst in enhancing the quality of life of the people in every possible way which is in one of the remotest parts of our State. I congratulate DUDA for the initiative taken in planning and executing the project,” Rio tweeted.
Meanwhile, Rio also unveiled the foundation stone for Tikhir Tribal Council Hall cum office at Kiusam town.
“I extend my best wishes to the people and hope that on completion of the project it serves its purpose well,” Rio said in his tweet.
