Rio inaugurates Hortiscape and Hornbill Cafe at Kisama

The chief minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the Hortiscape and Hornbill Cafe at Kisama on the first day of Hornbill Festival.


According to a DIPR report, chief minister Neiphiu Rio, in his speech stated that the Cafe was constructed with an aim to promote tourism through food and local cuisines. He also stated the cafe will be open throughout the year so that it can cater to the needs of the tourists and suggested the different tribal bodies in Kohima to keep their Morung operational throughout the year. He congratulated the Horticulture Department in completing the cafe in a short period of time.


During the inauguration of the Cafe, Commissioner Secretary, Akumla Chuba mentioned that the Cafe took four months to complete with funding from the State Innovative Fund, 2023-24 and hoped that the cafe would help in income generation for local people.
