Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y Patton expressed joy at the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 lander module on the moon’s South pole, terming it a historic moment.
Taking to X, Rio said: “History is made! Hearty congratulations to the team at@isro for the incredible #Chandrayaan3Landing. The nation salutes you for the remarkable feat. This historic touch down on lunar surface will propel India’s burgeoning space industry to new heights.”
Patton also posted X, saying: “History has been created! India becomes the 4th nation to achieve a successful soft landing on the moon and the first country to reach its south pole.” Congratulating ISRO, he said this was “a monumental achievement and a milestone in India’s Space Odyssey, filling us with indescribable pride and joy.”
