RMSATA express gratitude; resume duties

Dimapur, Sep 24 (NPN)

Nagaland RMSA Teachers’ Association 2016 (NRMSATA-2016) has extended gratitude to individuals, students’ unions, civil society organizations, tribal apex bodies, parents, and children across Nagaland for their unwavering support during its ongoing struggle for justice.
In a press statement, the Association stated that what began as 367 voices has grown into a movement of thousands, united in the pursuit of truth and fairness. It acknowledged receiving over 200 letters of support and solidarity from diverse stakeholders, affirming that the cause has become a collective call for justice.
NRMSATA-2016 appreciated all supporters whose encouragement helped sustain the momentum and ensured that the voices of RMSA teachers were heard. Reiterating its commitment to justice, fairness, and the dignity of labour, the Association said the solidarity shown has empowered the 2016 batch and strengthened the broader cause of equitable treatment for educators.
Although the issue has not yet reached a final resolution, the Association announced that its sit-in protest will be kept in abeyance following assurance from the State Government to resolve the matter favourably within six months.
The asociation has also decided to resume duties in the greater interest of students, particularly those in Classes 8 and 9 who are preparing for their final examinations.
Meanwhile, NRMSATA-2016 appealed for continued support and solidarity as it pursues its constitutional rights and affirmed its belief in collective efforts to uphold justice in the education sector.
