Returning Officer (RO) for Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) W Manpai Phom informed that nomination papers for Dimapur Municipal election (Ward 1 to 23) may be delivered by the candidate or his/her proposer to the RO, at DC’s office, Dimapur or to Assistant RO at DC’s office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than public holiday) from June 7, 2024 (Friday) but not later than June 11 (Tuesday).
In a notice, RO said that forms for nomination papers may be obtained from the DC’s office, Dimapur. RO said that the nomination papers would be taken up for scrutiny on June 13, 2024 at the DC’s office, Dimapur, from 11 a.m. onwards.
Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his/her proposer or election agent (who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the office specified in paragraph (2) above at his/her office before 3 p.m. June 18 (Tuesday). RO said that in the event of the election being contested the poll will be taken on June 26 (Wednesday) between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
