Rotary Club of Kohima held its 21st installation ceremony with deputy commissioner, Shanavas C as the guest at hotel Japfü, here on July 21.
The new team for the year 2023-2024 will be headed by Kevilenuo Solo as the president. Guest of honour, Shanavas in his address said the Mantra of peace has to prevail which would only be possible with a collective effort.
He observed that coming together was the one way forward and team work would make good things happen.
While lauding the RCK for their notable services towards the betterment of the community, he urged them to continue to keep up the good services.
During the occasion, the DC was installed as honorary member of RCK.
Outgoing president, Rosemary Dzüvichü shared on the club’s motto, “Service above self”.
She disclosed that the club had been helping out the communities in different ways in line with its motto.
She said RC Kohima had been doing all kinds of social services and hoped the new team would continue the services for the upliftment of the communities.
Club report for 2022-23 was presented by the new president, Kevilenuo, who is also the former secretary.
She said she would continue to carry on the good works and at the same time urged all Rotarians to keep aside all their differences and come together and work for the betterment of the community. During the ceremony five new members joined the club.
