Rising Peoples Party (RPP) has slammed the state government’s move to induct non-state civil service (non-SCS) officers into IAS as “not merely an administrative misstep” but “a calculated and treacherous subversion of our governance architecture.”
RPP condemned the NDPP-BJP coalition government’s “persistent and brazen disregard” for the principles of meritocracy and fair play in public service. The party said repeated resentment voiced by state service associations (CANSSEA, FONSESA, NSSA, NIDA, and NF&ASA) had been met with “an arrogant and dismissive ‘damn care’ attitude” from the ruling PDA government.
The party alleged that the oppositionless government now operates with “an alarming sense of impunity” and has replaced the rule book with “a culture of manipulation and favouritism” rewarding political patronage over proven competence.
Accusing the government of “offering a cascade of problems and misfortunes,” RPP demanded immediate transparency. It demanded that the government disclose the name of the non-SCS officer shortlisted for IAS induction, the process of their original entry into government service circumventing NPSC, and identity of their political patrons. Meanwhile, RPP extended support to service associations in their fight for integrity and called upon every citizen “to reject this manipulative regime.”
