A female passenger travelling from Delhi to Dimapur was intercepted by CISF personnel at Dimapur airport on Sunday carrying cash amounting to Rs. 10 lakhs. With Nagaland going to polls on February 27, such seizures and action have come since the model code of conduct for the polls were in force.
According to official reports, the seizure was made acting on a tip-off. The cash was found in the hand bag of the lady. The cash was seized since the passenger could not provide any supporting document of withdrawal of the money, it said.
