RSON condemns assault on minor; demands action

DIMAPUR

Rongmei Students’ Organization Nagaland (RSON) has strongly condemned the alleged sexual assault on a minor girl by a shopkeeper, identified as Ali Mortaja, at New Market, Dimapur.
In a condemnation note, RSON stated that such a crime against a vulnerable child must not be tolerated and called it a shameful act that has shocked society.
The organization demanded strict punishment under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, without any leniency.
It urged law enforcement and judicial authorities to ensure justice is delivered quickly and called for the case to be shifted to a fast-track court.
RSON expressed solidarity with the victim and her family, assuring moral support during this difficult time.
It also stressed that the safety and dignity of children and women must be a top priority.
