In support of the Rengma Hoho and Lotha Hoho call for indefinite bandh of NH-61 and on failure of the government to respond to the two Hohos ultimatum, the Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) would conduct a massive poster campaign on the theme “RSZ good road my basic right” within the stretch of 40 km to 72 km between Tseminyu and Wokha on June 4, 9 a.m onwards. A press note by RSZ president, Kenneth Rengma stated that NH-61 was abandoned by the state government and ministry of Road Transport and Highway for more than a decade. Questioning as to why a presidential road like NH-61 had been abandoned by the government for such a long time, RSZ stated that its poster campaign was to highlight the issue. While expressing its dismay upon failure of government agencies, while the ministry itself had announced to complete 40 kms of road construction, the RSZ has cautioned that it would expose all its dissatisfaction to the concerned authorities through the poster campaign while ensuring that “justice prevails” in the biggest democratic country.
