RTA revises Dmu autorickshaw fares

DC and regional transport authority (RTA) Dimapur has revised autorickshaw fares in and around Dimapur with immediate effect.
In an order, DC&RTA Wezope  Kenye said existing fare has been dropped owing to huge decrease in petrol and diesel prices. Until there was an increase in fuel prices by a remarkable margin, the new fare would be in force.
Auto drivers have been directed to display copy of revised fare chart for public convenience. It has also fixed town trip at Rs. 30 and night fare would be double the rate for that particular route from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. For students in uniform, there would be a concession of 15% and for differently-abled a concession of 25% from the actual fare. It was cautioned that non-compliance of the order would be strictly dealt with.
RTA has set up a committee to take a critical survey of traffic problems and until the committee submits the report, no new applications for registration of autorickshaws would be entertained.
