Rukizu Colony, Pfutsero Town has condemned with the abduction of a non-local construction worker and alleged ransom demand of Rs. 5 lakh by the two suspects associated with a Naga political group.
In a press statement, the colony chairman, Shevohu Khamo and secretary,Veshe Tureng said that the colony disapproved such criminal activities under its jurisdiction.
The colony clarified that the two miscreants were not residents of the ward nor of the town. Condemning that such unethical individuals, intentionally put person and family in fear and causing negative impact to the colony or town, the colony warned that such criminal act in the future will be seriously dealt.
The Rukizu colony also appreciated the “courageous operation” of Kohima and Phek police in rescuing the hostage and arresting the miscreants on April 23 and appealed to the law enforcing agency to award stringent punishment to the culprits.
