Rural Haat at Angangba village inaugurated

A Rural Haat in Angangba village, Tuensang supported by NABARD and implemented by Anganba Village Council was inaugurated on July 25. 

NABARD DGM, S.C.Sahoo along with the Angangba Village head GB C. Tokyu inaugurated the Rural Marketing Haat. 

The Haat, a trading venue for local population, was constructed with a technical support of Better Life Foundation a non-profit working with the local farmers. It will also act as a working space for FPOs to nurture the capacity of the locals and improve their access to market.

Since it was located next to NH 202, it will act as the primary collection centre of agricultural and horticultural produce for Angangba as well as marketing site for the produce of the local farmers. 

Angangba village currently has more than 50 farmers and have shifted to sustainable horticulture with the intervention of NABARD’s Tribal Development Fund’s Wadi project.
