Ruzazhomi village orgs condemn

Five organisations of Ruzazhomi village namely Ruzazho Village Council, Ruzazho Welfare Union Kohima, Ruzazho Village Women Society, Ruzazho Youth Federation, and Ruzazho Students’ Union have condemned the rape of a minor girl by her step-grandfather, Khwushopra Veswuh.
In a condemnation letter, the organisations termed the act as “beastly” and “foreign to its citizens” saying the “inhuman act have crushed and insulted the conscience and sentiments of all its citizens.”
The organizations also clarified that though the alleged accused was a bonafide citizen of Ruzazhomi Village, Khwushopra Veswuh does not represent the village in any manner. 
The organisations also stated they shall not tolerate, in any manner, intimidation and threat to life with weapon by taking advantage of being a member of Naga Political Group.
Demanding that the rapist be booked as per law without any reservation or leniency, the organisations said the alleged accused should not be grant bail as doing so would endanger the life of the victim and family.
The organisations also cautioned that the citizens of Ruzazhomi would take their own course of action against the alleged rapist and the concern authorities would be held responsible in the event of failure to heed their appeal.
Further, the organisations also appreciated the timely intervention and action of (NSCN I-M) and all the other organizations and authorities.
