RYC Dimapur observes 86th Martyr’s Day of Haipou Jadonang

Along with the rest of the Rongmei population, Rongmei Youth Club (RYC) Dimapur had observed 86th Martyr’s Day of Haipou Jadonang on August 29 at Rongmei Tribal Court, Burma Camp. A press note by president RYC Dimapur, Makuran Dangmei stated that, principal Don Bosco Hr.Sec.School Dimapur, Fr. Joshua cited an example of great leader Haipou Jadonang of how he struggled to fight for the people against mighty British
 He asked the congregation to follow the good example of their leader and to be brave to fight back for their rights. It stated that during the program, a silent prayer was observed to pay homage to Haipou Jadonang. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by executive member RYCD, Thuanreiliu Ruangmei chairman Rongmei Community Development Welfare Society, while Ambrose Makuthai Malangmei gave the opening prayer. Welcome speech was delivered by president RYCD, Makuran Dangmei, special song by women folk of St. Paul Catholic Church, Burma Camp and general secretary RYCD, G. Ajenpu delivered vote of thanks.
