Cement Concrete (CC) Road connecting Lane-15A with Lane-7A in Kevijau colony was inaugurated by Urban Development advisor, S.I. Jamir on Saturday.
Speaking at the programme, Jamir said with limited resources in the department, Kevijau colony was the first colony to be aided by the department after he took over, so they have to set examples for the other colonies and sectors. He urged upon the gathering not to just keep their homes clean but also the surrounding clean and further encouraged them to work selflessly for the colony.
Assistant urban development officer, Pangzungkokba in his speech said that it was a privilege to work under Jamir who, he said, was a selfless leader.
He stated such development works indicated there were good leaders in Kevijau colony.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Kevijau Colony Council chairman, Er. M. Tia Jamir, who also gave the welcome address and vote of thanks, was delivered by Council executive member Gauwang Zeliang.
