S. Phangnon nominated member to Court of NEHU

Lone Rajya Sabha MP from Nagaland, S. Phangnon Konyak, has been nominated as member to the court of the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), by Vice president, and chairman, Rajya Sabha, with effect from April 15, as per communication from the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.

A press release by press secretary to MP, Tenyebinlo Himb, informed that NEHU established on July 19, 1973 through Act of Parliament, stood as premier institution of higher education in India’s North East.

Over the decades NEHU has played transformative role in shaping intellectual and administrative fabric of the region, with the University nurturing generations of academicians, bureaucrats, public leaders, and change-makers, contributing significantly to the nation’s development.
