SABCK Youth observes ‘World Youth Skills Day’

Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church Kohima (SABCK) Youth Department observed “World Youth Skills Day” on July 15 under the theme, “Entrepreneurial Challenges and Opportunities” with entrepreneur, Nitoshe Sheqi as speaker.
A press release by SABCK youth department stated that in his speech, Sheqi stressed on the “fear psychosis” developed by “many Nagas” for livelihood when they venture into entrepreneurship. He encouraged the youths to venture into entrepreneurship as it was only a “lovely and lucrative profession” but also the “only way to salvage the Nagas at this juncture of deficit and huge unemployment”.
Urging the youths to opt for business sector, he said Nagaland was in dire need of smart, innovative, intelligent and vibrant youths. He also urged the church to encourage the youths in venturing into this sector.
SABCK youth department said in collaboration with some trained “Aphuyemi Youths”, the youth department also sponsored skill training of youths. The youth department informed that a total of 65 youths, mostly graduates, registered for a free training and underwent the same. A prayer for youths venturing into business, entrepreneurship and other self-employment activities was offered by SABCK senior pastor Rev. Dr. Kiyeto G. Sema.
