AGARTALA, AUG 17 (PTI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday congratulated MP Biplab Kumar Deb on his appointment as the BJP’s national general secretary.
“Heartiest congratulations to Biplab Kumar Deb Ji on being appointed as the national general secretary of BJP. Your extensive administrative experience and grassroots leadership will significantly strengthen the party organisation nationwide. Wishing you immense success in the new responsibility,” Saha said in a Facebook post.
Deb, who became the BJP’s Tripura state president in 2016, led the party to end the Left Front’s 25-year rule in the state and became chief minister in 2018.
He resigned as chief minister in 2022 following a directive from the BJP’s central leadership.
