As part of training, 48 cadets (class XI) of Sainik School Punglwa accompanied by the principal and two staff on Thursday visited TAC, Air Force at Rangapahar.
According to press statement by the School, the trip was conducted in order to instill in the minds of cadets to join the Armed Forces. During the visit it said an “impressive and heart awakening” documentary on NDA was screened for the cadets, wherein the cadets were all inspired.
The cadets also had an interactive session with Gp Capt Sateesh Nawathe, TAC Commander, Wg Cdr Paul Devis and Wg Cdr T Kiba who motivated them to join the Armed Forces.
The cadets also visited Army Aviation Flt and other places at the military station and had a closer look to military hardware. The trip ended with a visit to war memorial and cadets paid tribute to brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation, stated the release.
Sainik School Punglwa principal, Gp Capt Sanjay Gaekwad, in his address to the cadets on return to school stated that such tours and visits widen up the thinking horizon of the cadets and allow them to have unique experience that remain in their memories all through their lives.
He also expressed gratitude to Commander, TAC for providing an opportunity to the cadets to have a glimpse of Air Force.
