XXIV local board of administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) was held on January 12.
A press release by SSP stated that, the meeting was presided over by chairman of SSPN, COS HQ 3 Corps, Maj Gen Pankaj Kaushik. Meeting elaborated major aspects pertaining to development of the school and academic standpoint.
Later, LBA chairman interacted with school staff and inspected various construction sites such as the newly constructed staff quarters, renovated school gate and newly constructed gallery at the school ground.
The meeting was attended by BGS (Info Sys), Brig DCS Kanyal, Col GS (Edn) Col Nabarun Roy, deputy director and nodal officer, Directorate of Education, Emilo Patton and others.
Sainik School Punglwa Nagaland (SSPN) also observed “national youth day” by conducting a variety of online activities on January 12.
With the purpose of bolstering the knowledge and talent, Sainik School Punglwa organised virtual slogan writing and drawing competition for classes 6 and 7.
Forty five cadets took part in the competition wherein Cdt Abhishek Kumar of class 6 C, Cdt Alok Kumar of class 6 C and Cdt Elitshe Naro of class 7 B stood first, second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, group captain principal of SSPN Prasun Basu encouraged the participants on intensive learning and preparation for forth coming examination and assured that such events would be organised more frequently once they joined the school.
