SAKH session held

15th session of the Sumi Aphuyemi Kukami Hoho, Pughoboto, (GBs union), was held at Pughoboto town on June 28 on the theme "Role of GBs in Heralding Social Change", with Minister for Road and Bridges, Nagaland, Kaito Aye as chief guest.
Stressing on importance on the role of GBs and Village Chiefs in taking forward the Naga society, Kaito Aye urged the GBs to be efficient, wise and impartial in ruling their villages at the same time asked them to inculcate ‘essence’ of the GBs vital and leading role in ushering an ‘era’ of peace and reconciliation among the Nagas, particularly the Sumi Aphuyemi Kukami, Pughoboto.
Reiterating his stand that DAN government is determined to see that no section of the people are deprived of the development, the minister however felt that to achieve, people’s support in the government are necessary so as to enable them to execute their policies in secure manner.
Kughakhu Sheqi, GB, in his presidential address appealed its members to take their responsibility with integrity and also urged the government not to neglect Pughoboto constituency but to ensure the people that they receive ‘what is rightfully’ theirs in all the areas.
The session was also attended by former MLA, Pukhayi Assumi and NPF candidate from Aghunato constituency and NPF candidate Vikheho Y. Swu from Pughoboto.
The session, chaired by Kihovi Swu, GB, vice-president, SAKH, started with an invocation prayer by pastor, Toiho Assumi, Pughoboto Town Baptist Church, Shiqhevi, GB, welcomed the participants while vote of thanks was delivered by Sukhavi, GB.
