Sakhi One Stop Centre inaugurated at Meluri

DIMAPUR

Advisor for New & Renewable Energy and NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe, inaugurated the Sakhi: One Stop Centre at Meluri on October 13, 2025.
According to a DIPR report, Nyuthe, in his inaugural address, urged officials and staff to ensure that the Centre becomes a “home of miracles” where women in distress can find counselling, hope, and comfort. He also appealed to women-led civil society organisations to take ownership and extend cooperation to the Centre’s staff for the welfare of the district.
Delivering the welcome address, Deputy Commissioner and chairperson of the District Level Committee (DLC), Mission Shakti, Meluri, K. Mhathung Tsanglao, stated that the Sakhi: One Stop Centre provides integrated support and services to women affected by violence in both private and public spaces. He added that the Centre offers legal and psychological assistance, including support for cases of domestic violence.
The inaugural programme was attended by Heads of Offices under Meluri district, public leaders, and members of civil society organisations.
