Sakhi-OSC launched in Kiphire

Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) chairman, Bano Vinito inaugurated the Sakhi-One Stop Center (OSC) at Kiphire on May 28, in the presence of DC, Kiphire, Shayung Phom and other key stakeholders and community leaders.

According to DIPR report, Bano said OSC is a centrally sponsored scheme initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India with an intend to support women affected by violence. She stated that OSC is integrated with women Helpline_ 181. Gracy Aye, state coordinator, SRW stressed on the roles of stakeholders (Police, DLSA, Health, Social Welfare officials and district administration). Shayung phom encouraged the key stakeholders to give necessary support so that the OSC benefits women in the district. He promised that the district administration was ready to assist the OSC.
