Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) has expressed dismay to observe that most Heads of Department (HoD) and other employees under Pughoboto Sub-division were found out of station for the entire month, while many government offices were found ‘locked’ and without maintaining even the attendance register.
SAKK officials lead by its president Tohovi Swu, general secretary Joel Sumi Assumi and information secretary Enoch Wotsa have made a surprise inspection on January 30 in Pughoboto Sub-division. It alleged that out of 16 departments, only 5 department offices were opened and the rest were close and some found never functioning for continuous 2 to 3 months.
The Union had taken the initiative an object to usher in good governance and for the welfare its people.
Taking serious note of the practices, SAKK has directed all HOD and staff to be present and function during an office hour. The Union has cautioned to take action against any defaulter in future. SAKK further informed that the Union would continue to make frequent visit to all the government offices under Pughoboto area in order to ensure strict attendance of offices in the interest of the general mass.
