Sakraba gets Peace Centre School

The newly built Peace Centre school building at Sakraba village was inaugurated on June 2 by Rev. Dr. Philip SJ, the principal of Nazareth School, Pfutsero and blessed by Most Rev Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Nagaland in the presence of Rev Fr. Gabriel SJ, Principal, Peace Centre School, Sakraba, ex-speaker NLA, Z Lohe and a large gathering of the public leaders and parents.
Bishop in his speech thanked God for this great blessing the people received through the dedicated missionaries. He also expressed his gratitude to Frs. PhilipSJ, Gabriel SJ and the Society of Jesus for their committed missionary efforts in Nagaland.
He also appreciated the village leaders and the community for the cooperation rendered to the management. HBishop was hopeful that the people would be more open to the Catholic presence in the area and the new school wiould be a source of great learning. 
The guests of honor, Rev. Fr. Philip Abraham SJ in his speech expressed his gratitude to the village leaders and the public for their constant support to the school.
He also appealed to the gathering “to look into the commonalities for the growth of the mind and moral conscience.”
Also speaking on the occasion, Z. Lohe highlighted the Catholic education he received and wished that many more people may receive such value-based education that would transform the Naga society for a better future.
He hoped that the school will progress ahead with the full cooperation and active support of the people of the area. He also emphasized on the promotion of Christian ethics and values in the school curriculum.
After the official blessing and inauguration a felicitation program was organized by the school management during which a variety of items, dances, choreography, songs, dances, action songs and skits were presented.
Earlier, Rev Fr. Gabriel SJ, principal, Peace Centre School accorded the words of welcome to all and Vesavo D Vadeo, the mead master proposed the words of gratitude.
The village chairman of Sakraba village also addressed the gathering and appreciated and thanked the Jesuits Fathers for building such a beautiful school from their own resources. The village council provided common meal to all invited guests, parents and students.
