Salesian College Dimapur observes Cultural Day

The Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, celebrated its annual Cultural Day on the college campus under the theme “Exploring Traditions: Delving into the Roots”, on Thursday.
The event was graced by GB Kahuto Chishi Sumi, as the Chief Guest, alongside invitee students of Pranabananda Women’s College, Cornerstone College, and Salt Christian College.
Chishi in his address, exhorted the students to live with conviction and to recognize their responsibility towards themselves and society at large, by drawing inspiration from the biblical narrative of Cain and Abel. He emphasized the importance of education as a means for personal growth and rendering service to the society, rather than a merely pursuit for degrees, certificates, and careers.
The festivities of the event commenced with attire runway, besides cultural display of folklore songs and dances. War Cry, Rice Cleaning, and Fire Making were held under traditional competition.
