Salhoutuonuo asks youth to explore entrepreneurship

Minister of Women’s Resource and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse has urged the youth to explore entrepreneurship instead of limiting their aspirations to government jobs, emphasizing on the wide range of opportunities available outside the government sector.


Salhoutuonuo, who graced the two-day, Chakhroma Students Union (CSU) 40th general conference at Tsiepama on March 15, also encouraged the students to educate themselves, stay resilient, and face challenges with strength. She reminded the youths the importance of understanding daily chores and responsibilities, which would reward them with a disciplined and fulfilling lifestyle.


She also informed on the centre proposal to transform Nagaland into a “Kiwi State” and said that efforts are underway to achieve this goal. She assured the students that her department will support anyone interested in starting farming ventures.


Salhoutuonuo also stressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage, and encouraged everyone to speak their native language at home She said gatherings like these were crucial for students and youth to come together and learn new things.


Earlier, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, unveiled the conference monolith after a dedicatory prayer by senior pastor Baptist Church Tsiepama Pulhou Kuotsu. Visako Rino chaired the inaugural program, while Seyiezhalie Khro blessed the event with an invocation.


Rokosielie Geisuo delivered the welcome address, and presidential address by CSU president Kezhawelie Richa. Chairman of Tsiepama Village Council, Seyievizo, also extended greetings to the gathering.
