Two-day virtual training on “Bio-fertilizers: Efficient use and application” was organised by State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI)for Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) functionaries on October 6-7 at SAMETI, Medziphema.
A press release by SAMETI, Medziphema stated that the training was aimed at imparting technical knowledge on bio-fertilizers, its efficient use and applications to the participants.
Resource persons for the training were agriculture officer, bio-fertilizer laboratory, IETC Medziphema, Mhonchumo and agriculture inspector, bio-control laboratory, IETC Medziphema, Dr.Moasunep. Topics on introduction, importance and scope of bio-fertilizer in organic farming and INM, various types of bio-fertilizers popularly used in agriculture, method for application of bio-fertilizers in agronomical and horticulture crops, methods for preparation of bio-fertilizers at farm level were covered during the training.
Altogether 22 participants from different districts attended the training.
